A visit to Hi Mom is a family event, not a clinic appointment. Here is exactly what happens, so you know what to expect.
How a visit works

Book your week
Pick the session that fits your week and book online, or call (619) 425-8161. Sessions are by appointment.

Get ready
Drink plenty of water in the days before, and one bottle (500 ml) about 30 minutes before. Wear comfortable clothing, no dresses please. Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early with your guests: sessions start on time, and we cannot wait for late guests.

Meet your baby
Your session is 5 to 25 minutes of scanning, depending on the package, on the 140-inch screen with up to 20 guests. Babies don’t always cooperate. Our team is patient, and if baby hides her face, ask us about coming back.

Take it home
Your photos are ready within an hour after your visit: black and white images, color digital photos by email, prints, and the video in the packages that include it. Plan on an extra 30 minutes to an hour for that.
A theater for you and up to 20 guests
Leather sofas, 4K projection on a 140-inch screen, and room for grandma, the aunts, the big brother and everyone else. Tap the screen to watch a real session.

How to prepare

- Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early with your guests. Sessions start on time, and we cannot wait for late guests.
- Payment is due at the time of service: credit, debit or tap to pay. No insurance needed.
- Need to cancel or reschedule? Please give at least 24 hours’ notice.

Yes, we capture twins. It takes a little more time and effort, which we gladly provide for $15 more per session (not on Hi Mom Basic or SneakPeek).
Questions about the visit
How long is a session?
The scan itself is 5 to 10 minutes for 2D sessions, 10 minutes for the 6D Special, 15 to 20 for Silver and 20 to 25 for Gold. Plan on an extra 30 minutes to an hour so we can send you home with everything you want that day.
